Siobhán, youth leader at Freedom Church Benoni, invited Team BFC to share at a teaching session with Freedom Kids in a series that they are running on the Superheros in the Bible.
This theme excited the team as we often use the story of David and Goliath as a reference of the mistake Goliath and the Philistines made in comparing Goliath to David where David was actually comparing Goliath to God!
Feats went well although the cold makes the steel harder! Linda became a ‘hero’ to many young girls bending a single bar like spaghetti! Tonie’s pan rolling was also brought to mothers’ attentions but we did instruct that the feat must not be tried at home!
Tonie explained that as a Christian, Jesus is our Super Hero but much more. Comic super heros all have flaws/weaknesses whereas Jesus does not. He is perfect in every way. Amen
