Team BFC was invited to minister to the primary school of Curro Helderwyk on Monday, 24 February 2025.
The team was dumbstruck as 350 learners aged 7 – 13 and their teachers lined up and filed into the hall. Not a word was heard, one could hear a pin drop the entire time. Incredible discipline. Well done to Mrs Roets and her team of teachers!
So, in typical Barbarian style of breaking things, we encouraged the learners to break from their ‘Sounds of Silence’ discipline and make as much noise as they can during the strongman feats!!! (We asked for forgiveness afterwards)! We think they gave it their 50%-75%!
Testimonies spoke into bullying with focus on verbal bullying rather than physical bullying. Physical ‘bruises’ recover soon but the hurt from verbal bullying can stay for years. Jesus came as a saviour for all and those being bullied were invited to speak to someone about it. Bullying happens when someone is hurting as hurting people hurt others. Any bullies were also invited to speak to someone to help them overcome their inner emotions.
Thank You Lord for using Team BFC to bring Your hope and love to the young persons of Curro Helderwyk.
