What a wonderful way to start a week! Team BFC was warmly welcomed by staff and learners alike and was able to minister to all at Laerskool Baanbreker in Boksburg Parkrand on Monday, 13 November 2023. We were also blessed with perfect weather, sunshine and a light cooling breeze.
The learners enjoyed the feats of strength and Captain Tonie van Benoni displayed the tenacity to not give in to failure and try again when he was faced with a ream of paper that refused to tear. At one stage there was also chanting ‘One John’ which sounded very much like ‘Wine Gums’ which was very, very well received by BFC member, 1 John!!!
The team’s testimonies centered around bullying, both at school and/or in the home and how it is not cool to be a bully and we certainly were not called to be bullies. For those that are being bullied, Team BFC encouraged the individual to bring it to a member of the ‘VLR’ or a staff member so that it can be sorted out in the correct manner. Onlookers of bullying were also encouraged to standup for what is right and speak out against bullying or to also bring it to a member of the “VLR’ or a staff member’s attention to be resolved.
We ended with a blessing and protection under the covering of His blood that was prayed over the teachers, learners and their families.
